Dovetailed Keepsake Box

A small keepsake box corner-joined with hand-cut through-dovetails, each pin pared to a knife line so the joint closes without a gap. The lift-off lid is resawn from the same board for continuous grain, and the interior is lined with wool felt. A study in the joint that has held fine casework together for centuries.
