End-Grain Oak Board

A chunky end-grain board glued up from quartersawn white oak, arranged so the wood fibers stand upright to close around a blade rather than dull it. Chamfered edges and routed hand-holds make it easy to lift when wet, and the whole board is finished with food-safe beeswax and mineral oil. A weekly wipe of oil keeps it watertight for decades.
